US VP endorses proposed constitution



The Barack Obama administration has formally thrown its weight behind the proposed constitution. In a virtual endorsement of the proposed law, visiting US Vice President Joe Biden says the passage of a new constitution will strenthen democracy and the rule of law and will open doors to American investment which will in turn spur economic growth and tourism. Obama's number two spoke after a lengthy State House meeting with Kenyan leaders including President Mwai Kibaki, Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice president Kalonzo Musyoka.
