Sen. Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.
is the US Senator from Illinois and a Democratic
candidate for the 2008 election.
He was born in Hawaii in 1961 & married in 1992. Obama has two daughters.
Barack was born into a (black) Kenyan father and a (white) American mother, and spent
his youth in Honolulu, Hawaii. After growing up he attended Columbia University and then Harvard Law School,
Obama was elected to the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004.
Joe Biden [D] - Incumbent Vice President
Joseph "Joe" Robinette Biden, Jr.
at 66 is the US senator from Delaware, and Obama's
selection for the Democratic Party vice presidential in the 2008 election.
Bidne is in his sixth term in the Senate, which is the 6th longest active streak among
current senators. Biden brings much to the table for Obama when dealing with current
affairs and experience, and was an excellent VP selection. Biden ran for the Democratic
Party's presidential nomination in 1988 & 2008 .. losing both campaigns early.
